Donald Trump’s pastor, Paula White, kicked off his reelection campaign with these words: “Trump will overcome every strategy from hell.” Pastors like Ps White will continue to appeal to Trump’s evangelical Christian base, claiming that he has been ordained by God to lead this nation and to overcome the demonic dark forces against him. Since when has fear and hatred of the other been a Christian value?
